Design your own form for applicants to complete online. The system has been designed so that you will be able to build or change your forms without relying on us to help or charge you additional fees. The form function can be used for applications or to collect progress reports or acquittal reports from existing grant recipients. There are no restrictions on how you design your forms or what you use them for.

Instantly view completed applications online or download the applications as PDF or Word files.

All completed applications can also be downloaded in a single spreadsheet.

Design your own form

When designing your form you will be able to select from a range of question types, including:

• Short or long answers
  Single or multiple line written responses, with the ability to set word limits.
• Multiple choice
  Applicants can choose one option, or all the options that apply. You can also provide an 'Other' option and allow applicants to provide their own response.
• Contact fields
  Use prebuilt contact fields such as: Address, Email, Phone numbers.
• Budget
  Allow applicants to fill in a budget style question.
• Dependent questions / Conditional logic - Coming Soon
  Reveal additional questions depending on an applicant's response to particular questions.

Mandatory fields and word limits

You can specify which fields of the application form are mandatory, as well as limit responses to a specific word count.

Confirmation of submission

Applicants receive a confirmation email that their application has been successfully submitted.

Registration required

An applicant must create an account with SmartyGrants in order to access the application form.

Save incomplete applications

Applicants can save their partially completed applications, and return and complete the application at any point prior to the grant round closing date.

Retrieve ABN details

Automatically verify an applicant's ABN against the government business registry and retrieve their current tax status.

Supporting Documentation

An applicant can attach supporting documentation to their application. Currently the following file formats are supported: PDF, Word, Excel, Zip.
