SmartyGrants' servers are constantly monitored. Should any hardware failure occur it will be noticed within one minute. In the unlikely event that the server completely fails a replacement server should be up and running within an hour.
All communication between grants officers and SmartyGrants is encrypted. The communication between applicants and SmartyGrants can be encrypted at your request.
Responsibility for server updates, data backup and ensuring availability of the system is the responsibility of SmartyGrants.
