The freedom to design and run grant programs the way you want

SmartyGrants helps you build your own forms and open program rounds, meaning you don’t have to run off to your IT department for assistance. You can choose from a variety of question types for your forms, including:

  • Tables
  • Multiple choice
  • Single line
  • Paragraphs
  • Conditional logic – which allows different follow-up questions depending on what the user answers).

You can also enforce compliance by adding compulsory fields to your form and word limits for specific questions. And to provide the applicant with extra support, you can request access to un-submitted applications.

Application receipt confirmations can be immediately issued without you having to do a mail merge – applicants receive an email with a PDF/MS Word copy of their submission.

Depending on your settings, you can use SmartyGrants to automatically close grants rounds.

And if you need to, you can run private/invitation-only funding rounds and receive file attachments of up to 25 megabytes.

Submitting and storing applications

SmartyGrants makes the writing and submission of applications online straightforward for applicants, especially since most applicants favour online submission processes.

Importantly, applicants can save submissions so they can return to them later on.

All completed and “in progress” applications are stored in one secure location.

Before starting work on a submission, applicants can view the entire grant form – reducing the chances they will start a form only to abandon it upon discovering they are not eligible or suitable for the program.

SmartyGrants is Disability compliant (WCAG 2.0 AA compliant).
