Grantmaking Events
Join the Institute of Grants Management for events that bring grantmakers together to share knowledge, connect with peers, and explore best practice. Check back often for new opportunities.
Please note: SmartyGrants events are intended for individuals and organisations involved in distributing grants. They are not designed for grant seekers, applicants or grant writers. If your role involves administering, managing, awarding or overseeing grant funding, we encourage you to take part.
Thank you for helping us keep these events focused on peer learning and collaboration among grantmakers.
If you register and do not meet the criteria for attendance, a member of our team will be in touch and your registration may be cancelled. We appreciate your understanding.
Grantmaking Musters
A Grantmaking Muster is a get together for funders who live and breathe grants. It is where funders swap notes, test ideas, compare what is working and have honest conversations about what is not. Think practical conversations, real examples and useful tools you can actually take back to the office.
Who is this for?
- grant managers
- program leads
- foundations
- councils
- assessors
- anyone responsible for designing, running or improving grant programs
If grants are part of your day job, you are in the right room!
Why come?
Because no one wants to reinvent the wheel. You will pick up smarter ways to run rounds, tighten assessment, reduce risk and make data make sense. You will connect with people who face the same challenges and walk away with fresh ideas, renewed confidence and a few lightbulb moments along the way.
Community of Practice (CoP) Sessions
The Community of Practice (CoP) Sessions brings sector peers together to share ideas, test thinking and tackle real challenges in a practical, focused setting.
We meet online for targeted one-hour sessions that respect your time and deliver real value. Each session is sector based and shaped by the community, with members sharing on the ground experience, challenges and solutions.
Our Community subject matter experts facilitate the discussion to keep it sharp, relevant and useful.
How do I attend?
Invitations are sent via outlook – if you would like to be added to a mailing list please email: events@smartygrants.com.au and ask to be added to a sector session.
